What is the UV light used for on the Trac Tact flashlight?

The 395nm UV mode reveals blood, bodily fluids, and other substances invisible under normal white light. This is useful for hunters tracking game and for general fluorescent-detection tasks such as leak detection in automotive or industrial work, or identifying counterfeit currency. It's also great for checking your hotel bed to make sure it's actually clean before you tuck in after a long day of traveling!

Does the Trac Tact's red LED mode preserve night vision?

Yes. The red LED lets you see in the dark without disrupting eyes that have adjusted to low light, which is why hunters and campers use it instead of the white LED at night.

How long does the Trac Tact's battery last?

Runtime depends on the mode: up to 2.5 hours on High (350 lumens) or up to 4 hours on Low (105 lumens). The Trac Tact runs on 2 AA batteries, included.

Is the Trac Tact flashlight waterproof?
