Warranty coverage doesn't extend to normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, or battery corrosion, but if the light let you down through no fault of your own, we want to make it right.

What does the light-up bezel actually do?

When you slide the head forward to focus the beam, the bezel ring illuminates. It gives you a visual confirmation that the light is in focused mode, and adds a small amount of ambient side glow which can be useful when you're working in a confined space and want to see your hands as well as your target.

How far does the Aura Penlight's beam reach?

The Aura throws 270 lumens up to 90 meters on High. The slide focus lets you pull that in to a wide, even beam for close-up detail work, then push it back out to a tight spot for distance with no mode switching required.

Can I use rechargeable batteries in the Aura Penlight?

No. The Aura is designed for 2 AAA alkaline batteries only, and a set is included in the box. Using rechargeable cells can cause short circuits or overheating. If you want a rechargeable penlight in the same form factor, look at the Aura-R and Aura-RS, both of which charge over USB.

Is the Aura flashlight tough enough for job site and automotive use?

Yes. The Aura has an aluminum body that's both impact resistant and water resistant, so it handles drops onto shop floors and work in rain or damp conditions. Like every Police Security flashlight, it's covered by a limited lifetime warranty.

What is Memory Switch and how does it work?

Memory Switch resets the light to High mode after it's been off for 15 seconds. Cycle through High, Low, and Flash while you're working and it holds your setting; set it down for more than 15 seconds and it comes back on at full brightness. You never have to click through modes to get to maximum output in a hurry.

Terrible product Terrible flashlight. Unreliable, have to tap it constantly for it to work. I had it replaced under warranty for this issue and it is doing it again. Complete garbage, I don't recommend.

Not a good light. This is one of the worst flashlights I've have ever bought. Three settings, high beam, low beam, and strobe. It will randomly change light settings or completely shut off, it burns through batteries like it's going out of style. The slide end on the light side come loose and falls off in my pocket. Very disappointed with this light, I might as well set $17 on fire and used it as a light souce

AURA PENLIGHT

Great! But not perfect Great little light for mechanic, easy to use, fits into pocket well and light weight. Problem is that it eats battery quick! I have to use rechargable batteries to save cost, and sometimes I have to swap batteries at least once a day, most times once every two-three days. It gets hot quick, but still manageable, not a big deal. Slide focus function is great, but the blueish ring light on focus mode is a bit annoying, I assume it might meant for providing some surrounding liumination, but for most of times I figured it is total unnecessary, I just put some black electrical tape to cover it. Three mode High/Low/Strobe is probably good for home use or emergency, but as a mechanic I basically only need the High mode itself, 370 lumen is a great output for mose cases.
