Red light protects your dark-adjusted vision, so your eyes don’t have to readjust when you switch the light off. It also won’t dazzle people around you. The Connector 2.0’s Red Night Vision mode is useful for reading maps, moving around a campsite, or checking on a sleeping household. The separate Red Strobe mode flashes to make you visible during roadside stops or emergencies.

The Connector 2.0 headlamp runs on 3 AAA alkaline batteries, and a set of Police Security premium alkaline AAAs is included. It is not rechargeable. AAA batteries are sold almost everywhere and store well, which makes the Connector 2.0 a dependable choice for emergency kits. For long-term storage, keep the batteries out of the headlamp to prevent leaks.

The original Connector uses a COB light for a wide, close-range flood at 200 lumens, with High, Low, and Flash modes. The Connector 2.0 uses a standard LED that reaches up to 80 meters at 280 lumens. It also adds Red Night Vision and Red Strobe modes. Both run on 3 AAA batteries and have a pivoting head.

The Connector 2.0 headlamp is water resistant, not waterproof. It handles rain and wet conditions but should not be submerged. It is also 1 m drop tested, so it can survive accidental drops on the job site or at camp.
