A headlamp is only as reliable as its power source, and that's the whole idea behind Twin Power®. This one switches between a built-in rechargeable battery and three AAA alkaline batteries with a single button, so a dead rechargeable cell never means a dead light. It puts out up to 550 lumens, throws a beam 150 meters, and includes a green LED mode for tasks that don't call for full white-light brightness. How does the Twin Power dual-power system work?
The headlamp holds two independent power sources at once: a built-in rechargeable Li-Po battery in the head, charged via the included USB-C cable, and a rear cartridge loaded with 3 AAA alkaline batteries. A single button toggles between them, so if the rechargeable battery runs low mid-task, you can switch to the AAA backup instantly without opening the housing or swapping cells.
How bright is it, and how far does the beam reach?
On the rechargeable battery, High mode puts out 550 lumens; on AAA alkaline power, High drops to 350 lumens, since alkaline batteries deliver less current than the rechargeable cell. Low mode holds steady at 100 lumens on either power source. The beam reaches about 150 meters, which covers most hands-free work areas, campsites, and job sites.
What is the green LED mode for?
Alongside High and Low, the headlamp includes a green LED mode. Green light doesn't force your eyes to readjust the way white light does, so it's useful for glancing at a map, checking gear, or moving around camp without losing your night vision or disturbing others nearby. It's not an infrared or image-intensifying night-vision device, just a color of light that's easier on your eyes in the dark.
How long does the battery last?
Runtime depends on the power source and mode. On the rechargeable battery, High (550 lumens) runs about 1 hour and Low (100 lumens) runs about 4 hours. On AAA alkaline power, High (350 lumens) runs about 3 hours and Low (100 lumens) runs up to 10 hours. If you need the light to last through a full shift or overnight, alkaline Low mode is your best bet, so keep a spare set of AAA batteries in your kit as backup.
What's covered under the warranty?
The Twin Power 550 Headlamp is backed by Police Security's Limited Lifetime Warranty, which covers defects in materials and workmanship. It doesn't cover normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, or battery corrosion, so if something goes wrong that isn't your fault, reach out and we'll take care of it.

My husband loves this light as it makes his job easier because he works night shift. The rechargeable battery is a plus and the three different light settings is super helpful. It’s super easy to use as you just click to whatever setting you want it on. It fits snug around the head and doesn’t fall down which is nice! Overall a great security light for someone who works in the law enforcement field

I love how bright this headlamp is. I also love the twin power feature. It is a very unique feature that I haven't seen in a headlamp before. This is great to have on hand for power outages!
Easy to use, light is bright and easy to toggle between modes. Fits snugly and comfortably. I wish I had this whole still in public safety, but I am finding use with projects around my house and especially walking my dog at night.

I really like this product. It has 3 settings but I wish it had the flasher and red light as well like the others but what this has that others I have in my house is multiple ways to keep it charged and ready to go. Either batteries or charging via USB C. I will be using this all of the time when I need it.

This headlamp is very functional to have around the home. It’s very useful at night especially when your hands are not able to be hold a light. I use it to fix up things both indoors and outdoors of the home. I also like that it’s rechargeable and can also use batteries. This can come in handing during times when it isn’t possible to get electricity.
